Jamaican reggae group linked to The Inspirations (Billy Dice/Jimmy London) known for the tracks "Keep on knocking", "Be my guest", "Fari time", "Unity is love", "Tighten up" or "Place in the sun". Don't confuse with The Untouchables with Enos McLeod on lead vocals for the tracks "Prisonner of love", "Your love" and "Wall flower" all released on Blue Cat Records label.
An early West Coast ska band which mixed R&B covers with reggae rhythms and recorded with England's Stiff Records, the Untouchables debuted in 1984 with Live & Let Dance. The group comprised of vocalist Chuck Askerneese, guitarist and vocalist Clyde Grimes, bassist Derek Breakfield, keyboard player Brewster, and an alternating crew of percussionists and horn players. They recorded Wild Child in 1985 but after the 1986 EP Dance Party, the Untouchables were silent for several years. Finally, 1989's Agent Double O Soul appeared, with the Edwin Starr soul nugget covered therein. The 1990 live album Decade of Dance was the group's last.
