Thea Austin was revealed in 1992 as part of Snap!. Her voice on the mega hit "Rhythm Is A Dancer" convinced her to pursue a solo career.
Thea Austin fits many categories. She is an internationally acclaimed hit-maker, dynamic stage performer, powerful vocalist, sultry diva, and credited lyricist. Her music continues to cross world boundaries as she continues to establish a foothold in the global music community for a brilliant and successful solo career. As the former lead singer and writer of the dance collective “Snap!”, Thea was catapulted to international stardom as the single “Rhythm Is A Dancer” took a firm grasp at the 1 position in Billboard Magazine and on numerous video charts including MTV’s and CNN’s top 20 countdowns, making “Rhythm Is A Dancer” one of the most memorable dance tracks of the 90’s. “Rhythm Is A Dancer” currently holds the 34th position on VH1’s top 100 Dance songs of all times. Since then, she found success as the voice behind many House songs such as the collaboration with Pusaka (the team of Chris Cox and DJ Irene) for the song “I’m Addicted/You’re The Worst Thing For Me”. This song reached #1 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart. In 2003, Austin scored another #1 hit on this chart with “Just About Had Enough” credited as The Beat Hustlerz featuring Thea Austin.
