At the early age of sixteen Owen Standing established his first band. The singer, guitar player and songwriter Owen Standing inspired the European world of music with his velvet voice and his energetic songs and soon met with success. From Zaire, Africa he made his way to London, Paris, Berlin and Cologne, where he matured into a much sought-after performer at galas, in discotheques and on TV. In 1993 Bad Boys Blue toured in Africa with the additional singer - Owen Standing. The guy has never become the official member of the group as the ex-label of the BBB - Coconut Records, offered him a solo contract. In order to tap the full potential of his musical talent Owen Standing decided on launching a solo career. His singles were released under Coconut records. His team included as background dancer Heike Unger from Köln. His songs contain a successful blend of Soul, Reggae and Dance Pop as his striking tracks “In Love With You (Baby, Baby)” (24th Oct 1994) and “Magic Nights” (26th Jun 1995) demonstrate clearly.
