Featuring members Jamba (aka Jammes Castro) and Tom Armstrong, Jinga Boogie are a mix of Brazilian beats and American lounge attitude brought together thanks to liquor, literally. The original idea came from Steve Luttman, a veteran of the liquor industry who was looking for a way to promote the correct pronunciation of the Brazilian drink Caipirinha. After asking Jamba and Armstrong to record a song with the drink's name, the two became Jinga Boogie and released the summery dancefloor single "Caipirinha" in 2008.
