Satoshi Tomiie is a Japanese DJ and producer. He had early success in 1989 with 'Tears', a co-production with Frankie Knuckles. In the early 1990s, he toured with Ryuichi Sakamoto, and has become known for remixes of artists including U2, Mariah Carey, Photek, Simply Red, and David Bowie. At the turn of the millennium, Satoshi introduced a new club sound via 1999’s ‘Full Lick’ album that helped define a developing house scene. The single ‘Love In Traffic’ became a worldwide underground hit. He is now based in New York City and runs the Saw Recordings label.
