Loverush UK! is founded by Mark Loverush & Kinky Roland. Loverush UK! have enjoyed great success in 2007 with their singles featuring Boy George, Marcella Detroit , Shelley Harland and Kirsty Hawkshaw. Their sound is full on euphoria with uplifting vocals hooks, but their packages on the release cater across the board.
Kinky Roland, originally from Berlin, Germany came to London in the late eighties. He’s a composer and producer with a long history of dance including such trade classics as “The Mighty Machine” a favorite of the late Tony De Vit and “Born Funky” with the talented Chris Mckoy, and has 3 Ministry of Sound licenses under his belt including the annual 2. Kinky has released over 350 records under many guises Rudeboy, Terminator Benellux , Replicant, Dream Plant, Tranceparents, The MPC’s with Chris Mckoy… His taste is eclectic and over the years he made techno and trance to electro via UK garage, ambient, tribal, and French filtered house. He’s been working with Boy George for 12 years now and at the moment with Marc Almond, Johnny slut and Mark Moore. On the remix side he’s done the likes of Missy Elliot, Five, Liberty X, Shaggy, Culture Club, Amanda Ghost and Bananarama. Kinky quote “It has been many years since I have done Trance and returning to it with a new approach and a new audience is like a full circle which comes very natural to me”.
Mark Loverush has been a DJ on the London circut for over six years, in 2001 Mark teamed up with Dreamcapture to remix the massive Ian Van Dahl crossover hit ‘Castles In the Sky’ which was the only mix supported by Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong. Summer 2003 lead Mark to take his Music career one step further, being part of the most successful club promotion company in the UK, Power Promotions. Just a few years later in 2005 Mark teamed with up with Marc Almond for the euphoric smash ‘Perfect Honey’ which was picked up by Paul Oakenfold via his legendary Perfecto Records. Mark quote “My love and respect for music and artists grew to new heights on this incredible journey” Mark and Kinky got together thru their mutual friend Marc Almond to create Loverush UK! and the debut album Plethora.
