Lisa Dal Bello is an accomplished Canadian performer. Her career has ran the musical spectrum, beginning in soul/funk in the '70's, moving to pop rock in the early '80's, then changing to alternative rock in the mid-'80's. She changed her professional name at this time to simply 'Dalbello', and transformed her image and music as well, becoming a much more alternative performer. Her music has gotten increasingly harder and darker with each album. Her songs have been recorded by the likes of Heart, Julie Masse and Queensrÿche, who had a huge hit with their version of her masterpiece 'Gonna Get Close To You'. She has also done backing vocals for several artists, and worked closely with John Taylor of Duran Duran, sharing vocals on his single 'I Do What I Do'. Dalbello still records, and recently does a lot of voice- over work for Canadian television, and sings many familiar commercial jingles as well.
Dalbello (born 22 May 1959 as Lisa Dal Bello) is a Canadian recording artist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and voice actress. She released three albums in the pop and pop/rock genre in her late teens, from 1977 through 1981 under her full name. In 1984, she re-emerged as Dalbello, with an edgier brand of alternative rock.
