Evie Tornquist, born in March 1956 in USA, Christian vocalist with Norwegian-American background. Larseric Janson found her and made so she became a star at 14-years old when her parents were on a visit in Sweden 1970. In February 1979 she married Christian singer/songwriter Pelle Karlsson (who wrote the Swedish lyrics to "Han är min sång och min glädje"). Evie was officially inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame on February 22, 2005, and was one of the inaugural inductees to the Christian Music Hall of Fame.
This Norwegian singer made emphatic pop/inspirational albums in the '70s and '80s. She was the most popular woman in contemporary White gospel before the advent of Amy Grant and Sandi Patti.
